Snow, everything is covered with snow – as far as the eye can see. Mystically glittering and temptingly crunching, it is ready to be conquered. So, what are you waiting for? Have fun in the snow!
Children are fascinated by snow. And they are even more fascinated by the possibilities that Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers young snow fans: Skiing or snowboarding in children’s paradise or at Mount Hausberg, tobogganing until far into the night, skating on the Olympic ice-rink, climbing in the ropes course, watching the feeding of the deer at nightfall, night walks by torchlight through the Partnach Gorge, enjoying the waves in the Alpspitz-Wellenbad and much more. Garmisch-Partenkirchen not only is a snow paradise but also a real paradise for kids.
In the ski schools, the youngest ski fans playfully learn how to turn. Here, skiing is always combined with fun, especially when ropes, tubes, bands, Big Foot, Shorties and much more are used. No matter whether they are learning skiing or snowboarding, the highlight of the children’s skiing classes is the exciting final race. Of course, everyone is a winner at the festive award ceremony with medals and certificates.
Tobogganing also is a must during your stay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Wearing thick winter clothes and speeding down the hills is just fun. In Garmisch-Partenkirchen there are toboggan routes for every age. The hill "Am Leitle" is perfect for parents with infants. Older children will enjoy the tobogganing at night at Mount Hausberg each Wednesday and Friday.
A very special highlight for the whole family is a guided hike by torchlight through the Partnach Gorge or watching the feeding of the deer at nightfall. As soon as the 50 bucks and does turn up, time seems to stand still for a moment. Where else can you observe these free roaming majestic animals so close up?
And afterwards? Enjoy the warm waves of the Alpspitz-Wellenbad with two big waterslides, diving pools and children´s pools.
