Tobogganing down the famous sleigh race track from the Partnachalm
From the Partnachalm above Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a toboggan run worth trying winds its way down to the Reintal Valley. Here, you will hardly ever meet any people, in which you can enjoy a relaxed and quiet day of tobogganing.
Between the Partnachklamm gorge near Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the skiing slopes at Hausberg Mountain this demanding toboggan run through lovely scenery awaits winter sports fans. One section of the track, the traditional “Hornschlittenrennen”, which is a race on ancient peasant sleighs, takes place every year.
First, walk uphill on a winding road to the Alpine hut Partnachalm. After a break, start tobogganing downhill. You will not see many other hikers here.
