A picture-book village
The historic church of 1721 is worth a visit as well. The high altar is an exquisite piece of art made by the sculptor Andreas Onich. The high altar painting shows "Anna selbdritt" (the Virgin and Child with St. Anne). Above this painting, you will see a painting of the Holy Family. Next to the altar, there are figures of Saint Sebastian and Saint Roch, followed by statues of Saint Notburga and Saint Isidore in their traditional costumes.
You will reach this cultural and original jewel either via the top terminal of the Eckbauer cable car - a 40-minute hike. Alternatively, take the hiking trial starting at the hospital (approx. 45 minutes). The hike is definitely worth the effort!
Winter tip:
From the top terminal of the Eckbauer cable car, prepared hiking trails are available via Wamberg and back to the Olympia Skistadion (Olympia Skiing Stadium). The trails are also perfect for tobogganing.
